KSPG Logo Update
An update to the logo of the ever-iconic Koh Santepheap Media, a news/media giant of Cambodia.

During a major brain thunderstorm session for the rebranding and business consulting contract for KSPG, a Cambodian news media giant, Tee foolishly suggested that they needed a new logo. A few days later, the suggestion was approved and Tee was tasked with one of the most challenging projects in his career so far.

Here's their previous logos: hand drawn typography, bold and iconic. The Independence Monument of Phnom Penh in the back signifying a strong and independence news outlet.
Tee needed to come up with something new, yet familiar.
The sentence you just read is easier said than done.

It took Tee two cups of burnt office coffee to realize that he needs to redraw the Independence Monument. Because, why the hell not?
Tee took a picture of the monument to use as a reference. He thought the 45-degree angle of both the building and the sunlight was perfect. Why? Because Tee knows what perfection is. Or maybe not. Maybe he just thought it looked nice.
Tee also cleaned up the hand-drawn typeface while re-tracing it in Adobe Illustrator, re-worked the drop-shadow to give it a vintage yet timeless look.

The clients loved it! And after a few revisions and countless paper airplane fight with his client servicing manager, the new logo was approved! KSPG just got a make-over and all the boys are amazed, indeed.

Additionally, Tee was also tasked to created a smaller variant of the logo to be used in browser and application icons. See the result for yourself, although please ignore the lazily mocked-up newspaper. Shh.
